THE RULES:

1. Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
2. Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
3. A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
4. So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
5. Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

Especially now. That's what I'm talking about. [ He laughs to himself, trying to shrug off what he's about to say. ] I mean, it shouldn't feel so nice havin' a guy against me. It's gotta be your doing, right?

You enjoy the company of your brother. [ that head tilt again to accompany simple natural facts. ]

[hetero]

I don't hold Sammy like this. [ But he looks up, trying to think of a way to explain it. ] It's a different feeling. One ain't better or anything, but it's different.

[deism]

[ his brow furrows, just a little bit, and then he touches the side of dean's face ]

I do not understand.

[hetero]

[ He eyes Cas' hand with softness, almost like it's relaxed him, but he doesn't make any other response to it. ]

You think I do? I thought it was an angel thing. But I... it's not like I mind it.

[deism]

It is not an angel thing, Dean.

I believe it is... [ he hesitates, as if finding the right words ] a human thing.

[hetero]

[ He looks back to Cas, frowning with more confusion. ]

Right, because you angels can't feel a damn thing. [ He seems vaguely disappointed. He'd wanted to blame it on the angels, because otherwise emotions were far too complicated. ]

Well, I'm lost, then.

[deism]

I do not altogether understand, but I will tell you what I see. [ he speaks with a rumbly intonation, like giving a quiet but serious sermon ]

I see a man who enjoys the company of others.

[hetero]

That's practically anyone, Cas. What exactly are you looking at?

[deism]

I see you with other women.

It is not satisfying to you, but you desire company.

[hetero]

[ He shifts and frowns at that, looking away. ]

Of course it's satisfying. Sex is always satisfying, unless the chick is just plain bad.

I think you're getting mixed up.

[deism]

I see. [ and his voice grows softer. there is no admonishing or rejection, just acceptance. ]

Human concepts are still distant to me.

[hetero]

[ He chuckles again. He relaxes, and his hand unconsciously runs down Cas' back because of it. ]

You'll understand when you get laid. [ He pauses. ] Sometimes it's nice to feel that close to someone.

[deism]

Physical proximity is not always correlated with emotional proximity. [ uh please???? ]

[hetero]

Emotional "proximity" isn't needed, it just gives you feelings and other crap you don't want. Physical is the way to go. [ No Cas learn from someone healthier than Dean. ]

[deism]

Your kind is strange. [ but his eyes are serious, taking in his words, as he presses his hand closer to dean's face

almost like he was trying out something new and wondrous ] You are so small, and cling so closely to each other. Yet you separate so easily in the same breath.

[hetero]

[ This time, his hand runs up and down Cas' back in a more conscious fashion. He seems too occupied with Cas' words to really acknowledge it, though. ]

No matter what, it's hands-down better than whatever you angels have. [ He takes a deeper breath. ] Some people are different. Take Sammy--he likes to get emotionally connected to the chicks he bangs, but see where that's gotten him? It ain't worth it.

[deism]

What angels have is different. It is stronger. [ he takes both his hands to grasp onto dean's face, staring into his eyes. he presses his hands gently done, and lowers it slowly one hand slowly to the shadows of dean's clavicle, lingering on the sharp jut of the bone ] To share a love for our Father, love for our brothers, is beyond your understanding. We love [ and he brings his face closer to dean's, until his breath brushes hot against his jaw ] and you exist because he loves you, and we love his Creations.

[ He pulls back slightly. ]

Your love is completely blind. You love Him because He tells you to, and you love us because He says so. Do you have any other reason?

[deism]

Do you have any other reason to love your brother than if he were your brother? [ he still persistently pushes his hand against dean's boob chest, adamant in his touch ]

[hetero]

Because I raised him, and I was always there for him. Because Sam--[ gave him a purpose, he wants to say, but that's none of Cas' business. ]

You know God's never been there for you, and obviously you've never been around humans.

[deism]

Was I not there to raise you from perdition? Did I not betray my brothers for you? Have I not begged them to listen to me in vain? Did I not rebel in your name?

[ his face twists slightly into something colder, and his hand pushes deeper onto him, no longer a touch of exploration but aggression. his voice lowers, and there is something in his eyes that say what he is about to say isn't something of measly importance, but a quiet secret ] Did I not seek my Father's guidance?

[hetero]

[ He almost returns the look, but he's far more expressive in his impatience. ]

That's different. You've spent time with me--you did that because we're friends, and not because someone told you to.

[ But he softens at Castiel's last sentence, and holds him again with care, as if trying to calm him. ] You don't need His guidance. You don't need Him.

[deism]

[ his face does contort, at that, and his blank visage fades into a mask of barely contained fury. his fingers curl against dean's chest, not digging too deep against the skin, but enough to leave red marks. each word he says is enunciated and heavy, each syllable pronounced precisely. ]

And what is an angel without the Lord?

[ He frowns at the pain, and shifts, but doesn't break his hold. ]

You're Cas. My friend. Sammy's friend. What else do you need to be?
