I'm not weird. [ but he doesn't choose to defend himself on the matter. there was something both a little snippy and a little serene at his tone, like he is ruffled up about it, but distantly so. instead, he looks at dean intensely in the eyes like he always does, without much acknowledgment to the hands.

it just seemed natural. ] I thought you wanted to get laid.

I do. [ He blurts it out and feels awkward that he just admitted to wanting to get laid while holding hands with a guy. This is suddenly feeling less heterosexual. He clears his throat, but doesn't move his hand. ]

I mean... can't a guy wanna spend time with his best friend more than getting laid?

[ he raises his eyebrow slightly. dean appeared to be defensive about something, though he couldn't tell what. ]

Yes. You'll spend time with me now, and get laid with a girl later tonight. [ that was the way it had always been. he careens his head serenely to try and see if the burgers would arrive soon. ]

[ At that, he moves forward more, immediately wanting to clear up the situation. He was planning on spending the whole day with Cas--going places he liked even if they were really boring. He wonders if that is too much like a date and if Cas should be informed it's a date, but that doesn't really matter. ]

No, we're gonna-- [ But the waitress does indeed arrive with their food and Dean pulls his hand away from Cas' hastily. He pushes the second burger she had mistakenly given to him over to Cas. ]

[ he pauses for a moment to stare at his hand, as if confused about the loss of warmth. but it does make sense. dean wants to sleep with the waitress, and therefore wants to keep his hands unoccupied to show her his availability. he doesn't take it personally and eagerly eats his burgers.

he leans back into his seat and happily eats them, munching on them voraciously. ]

[ Dean frowns at the fact that Cas didn't seem to understand what he was going for. Clearing it up now would be weird, but he'd just show him they'll spend the day together. He didn't particularly consider if Cas had any other plans--Cas never seemed to have plans when they hung out, so it never occurred to him to ask. ]

Don't choke. [ But he smiles and eats his French fries, never taking his eyes off Cas. ]

[ he is busy fighting for the last bit of burger. he is very very happy when he's eating, and it obviously shows on his face. when he finishes, there is a final look of resignation before he eats the final bite, and because he is not Famished, he wipes his fingers politely on a napkin before blinking owlishly at dean. ]

I'm done. [ he announces it like he doesn't think dean would notice, and then peers outside to see how much light is available. ] I want to stop by somewhere.

[ By that time, Dean's long finished his fries, but he doesn't seem particularly bored. He liked how happy Cas looked while eating, because he never looked that happy anywhere else.

And he actually looks excited when Cas says he wants to do something, because he usually left the decision making up to Dean. He quickly takes out the money for the check left on the table, and stands up. ]

Yeah? Where?

The store. [ there were a multitude of stores he could be referring, but he seems to have one in mind. he lets dean pay for the check, since he knows eventually he would pay him back in some way or another. he just reaches over to arrange the money neatly before standing up, not bothering to smooth down his trenchcoat, and opening the door politely for him. ]

[ Dean slows a bit at that because the store, that's so boring. Then again, he knew any place Cas picked out be boring, so he doesn't mention it, only laughing when Cas opens the door for him.

He unlocks the Impala and gets in, waiting for Cas before starting it up. ]

Do you need something from there?

[ he climbs in the front and leans back into the seat. his hands are still slightly greasy from the burgers, which he wipes absently on his lap. he considers telling dean about his short mission, but eventually rejects it. ]

Yes. We won't be long. [ he wasn't an idiot. he'd seen the way dean had been looking all day. dean would likely want to get laid tonight, and he probably had plans. it was nice of him, though. to ask him to hang out.

it pleased him. ]

[ He nods and starts off toward the nearest store, since Cas never specified. He would tell him to take his time, but it was the store and that would sound stupid. He figures he can take him out somewhere better when he's done shopping.

After a few moments, he reaches over to put his hand on Cas'. His hand is probably somewhat sweaty and since Cas' is greasy this is a very nice hand holding moment. ]

[ um excuse you his hands are perfect, or at least only a little greasy because now most of it is now on his trenchcoat. he is the epitome of cleanliness. but he leans over suddenly, putting his other hand warmly on top of dean's, making an efficient hand sandwich. ]

The grocery store. [ he leans a little too close, since the car was making a turn, and his lips are barely away from dean's ear. ]

[ Since Cas is that close, he can probably hear the way Dean's breath hitches and notice the way his eyes rapidly move between Cas and the road. With a firm grip on the wheel, he lets out an 'oh' which might sound a little too breathy and pleasured for the grocery store.

Being a teenager is hard, but he manages to control himself enough to speak again. ]

Cas, uh, you might wanna relearn how to dirty talk.

[ he doesn't move from his spot. but he does lower his voice instinctively, like a secret between the two of them. ]

Is there something dirty about the grocery store?

[ He keeps his eyes on the road, practically forcing himself to not look over or react. His hands are only getting sweatier. It is hard for him to deny the weird feelings he gets around Cas when he's enjoying holding his hand and being so close to him. ]

No, that's the problem.

I do not see the problem, then. [ he slips out his hand from underneath dean's to lean back and grab something from the backseat, probably napkins. for that moment, he breaks off the impassive and intense glance in favor of rummaging around the familiar vintage seats.

for that moment, dean's hand is also now just on his thigh. ]

[ Dean is able to breathe normally again though he feels some disappointment with that. It's not until he subconsciously squeezes his hand as they hit a speed bump that he notices exactly where it is. And that familiar breathing issue comes back in full force.

Instead of moving it away, he chooses to squeeze again, harder and perhaps slightly closer to his inseam. ]

... Lose something?

No. [ which was, strictly speaking, the right answer. he hadn't lost anything, but he was looking for the napkins. when he found them, he turned back again to busily wipe both his hands. he had no particular objections to dean's hand, and once he cleaned off one hand well enough, he just placed it with a feather's touch over him.

he did seem confused about where to put the greasier napkins, so he stuffed them in his pocket, and returned to staring out the window blandly. ]

[ He frowns when Cas shows no reaction to the moves Dean was placing on him. He didn't understand what was so important about wiping his hands off who does that. It wasn't exactly surprising, though, considering it's Cas and Dean knows he'll have to be more forward if he really wants to get anywhere. Usually he has no problem with being forward, but that's with girls he's just looking for a night with. With Cas, he feels, he wants more though he doesn't particularly know what more is; he only feels that Cas wouldn't really want it. ]

That trench coat doesn't need to be any dirtier. [ They near the grocery store and Dean moves his hand to park, letting out a breath once the car stops. ]

[ he only gives a small hrmph in response, a gutteral rejection of such a false statement. though the laundry days were always the hardest, and anna always took pity on him on those days when he wandered around the large mansion as he waited for the laundry machine to finish. he efficiently unclipped the seat belt, and though absently it was a shame he couldn't always touch dean. but he was already moving out of the car.

with the door half-open, he leaned back in to tap dean on the shoulder. ]

Wait here. [ he closed the door properly, and strode purposefully towards the store. though he walked with a serene absent-mindedness, the way he managed to cross the parking lot without looking both ways and having several near-misses were certainly harrowing. ]

[ Dean was in the process of getting out when Cas told him to wait, so he makes an exaggerated sigh and leans back in his seat. He watches Cas carefully, though he doesn't particularly have time to consider him because of the way Cas apparently lived life on the edge. He mutters to himself and doesn't particularly understand why he has Feelings toward this trench coat wearing weirdo. ]

[ he comes back a little while later in his serene state, carrying a paper bag. he enters the car again, shuts the door, and sits there with his closed bag with a plain expression. after a moment, he looks at dean. ]

Will you be going home now?

[ He turns and leans forward, as if trying to look into the bag. Even if it was something private, Dean didn't really care. They'd known each other forever, it didn't matter. ]

'course not. Where do you wanna go next? [ He smiles with sincerity, perhaps only dampened by the fact that he was sneaking his hand into the bag. ]

[ he lets him, because the bag basically just has chocolates in it. ]

If you're tired, you can always go home and sleep before the big night.
